Residential treatment is provided to our patients at RAMAR (the Rocco Antenucci Memorial Adult Residential Center). This facility offers 28 beds for chronically addicted men and women who are in need of intensive counseling and round-the-clock monitoring. Patients may enter RAMAR for 90-120 days, and receive individual and group counseling, medical services, transportation and other therapeutic activities. During their stay patients develop self-management and recovery skills that help them rebuild their lives.
Patients typically graduate into less restrictive programming within Community Health Center. If patients are still in need of housing, our Genesis or Touchstone programs may be appropriate.
Genesis is a step-down program located on the RAMAR campus. It is a group home setting for 5 women and provides outpatient counseling with the same safety net that RAMAR offers. All meals are provided. Residents may stay up to 2 years; young children can join parents on-site.
Touchstone is a supportive housing program for women while in treatment. This program offers 16 units of independent housing for single women, women with disabilities or those pregnant and/or with children. Residents must be receiving treatment for substance abuse via CHC’s Direct Therapy program. On-site groups, child care, laundry and dining services are available.
Transitional housing is also available successful patients that would like to transition into independent living situations. Patients must have a documented period of sobriety to qualify. Contact OMCDC at 330-315-3718 for a list of openings or apply for housing online.
