Janet L. Wagner Chief Operating Officer Email Janet Wagner Janet L. Wagner has been with Community Health Center for over 30 years. She has held management positions in the behavioral health field since 1981, first serving as the coordinator of the diagnostic department prior to becoming the agency’s chief operating officer in 1990. She is currently a board member at the Summit County Community Partnership and is president of the Summit Terrace Development Corporation Board of Directors and several other housing programs of the Community Health Center and Ohio Multi-County Development Corporation. Most recently, she was awarded the Sister Ignatia Award from the Summit County ADM Board for her work in the field. Jan is a past member of the Ohio Chemical Dependency Credentialing Board and on the Citizens’ Advisory Committee for Summit County Children Services. She also was a member of the City of Akron, Drug & Alcohol Commission from 1988-1991. Jan is a graduate from The University of Akron.
Greg Johnson, MD Medical Director Dr. Greg Johnson joined Community Health Center in 2013. Serving as Medical Director, he oversees the agency’s Medication Assisted Treatment program for opiate addiction, which treats over 500 adult patients at a time, the majority of which come into the office every day for their medication. Additionally, Dr. Johnson oversees our primary healthcare and laboratory services. Before moving to addiction medicine, Dr. Johnson practiced obstetrics for over 25 years in the Alliance and Toledo areas, with a special focus on treating pregnant mothers who were struggling with addiction. He also served as a clinical professor at the University of Toledo Medical College, winning Clinical Professor of Year in Obstetrics in 2004. Dr. Johnson is board certified in OB/GYN and is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
Nancy Jones Keogh, PhD Clinical Director Dr. Nancy Jones Keogh joined Community Health Center in 1996 and serves as the Clinical Director overseeing all behavioral health programs. Her areas of expertise include psychological assessment and diagnosis, treatment of anxiety disorders and addiction treatment. In addition to her duties at CHC, she is in private practice and is a member of the medical staff at Cleveland Clinic Akron General and is an adjunct clinical faculty member at The University of Akron. Dr. Keogh obtained her BS in psychology at Miami University and her doctoral degree in counseling psychology from The University of Akron. She has done work at Fallsview Psychiatric Hospital, Portage Path Behavioral Health and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine among others. Dr. Keogh has provided consultation for numerous boards agencies and institutions in Northeast Ohio and has conducted workshops and seminars for the University of Akron, Cuyahoga Community College and The Ohio State University.
Barbara Van Dike Human Resources Director Email Barb Van Dike Barbara Van Dike has worked at Community Health Center since 1979, becoming the Human Resources Director in 1988. During her 30+ year history with the agency she has been a part of growing our staff from 30 to 175 professionals. In addition to human resources, Barb manages the benefits program for the agency. In addition to her role at CHC, Barb is very civically involved in the community. She has served as councilperson for the Village of Mogadore since 2007.
Tiffanie Ferguson, MA, LPCC-S, LICDC-CS, NCC Compliance Officer Email Tiffanie Tiffanie Ferguson joined the Community Health Center in 2005, where she is now the Compliance Officer for the agency. In her current role, Tiffanie handles all accreditations/licenses for the agency, grievances and performance improvement throughout all our programming. Previously, she was the Director of Adolescent Services. During her tenure at CHC, Tiffanie had expanded adolescent programming to include intensive outpatient treatment services, in-home treatment, child psychiatry, and the region’s first ambulatory detox for youth. Prior to CHC, Tiffanie worked with inner-city youth in Chicago. She holds a M.A. in Counseling Psychology and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S), a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor Clinical Supervisor (LICDC-CS), and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She has provided training on substance abuse issues for juvenile court, children services, the Summit County ADM Board, and other organizations. She has also provided expert interviews regarding adolescent substance abuse issues for the Akron Beacon Journal, Channel 3 News, and other media outlets.
Corliss Newsome Associate Director, OMCDC Email Corliss Newsome Corliss Newsome joined CHC’s sister housing organization, OMCDC, in 2004 and currently oversees a staff of five for a nine-county program area. Corliss has an extensive background in community and economic development in several settings. Since her employment at OMCDC she has successfully managed the development and/or rehabilitation of 208 permanent units of housing representing more than $16 million dollars in five of OMCDC’s nine counties. She also oversees 28 units of transitional housing. Corliss is a graduate of Cleveland State University where she earned a Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Design and Development. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. She has also completed graduate courses in business administration at Baldwin Wallace College.
Chrissy Gashash Marketing & Public Relations Director Email Chrissy Gashash Chrissy Gashash has worked at Community Health Center since 2002, managing all communications for the agency since 2005. She plans and implements many special events and supports all programs in the agency by developing marketing and public relations materials. Chrissy also works closely with our other sister organizations, Community Health Center Foundation and OMCDC to develop marketing strategies. A graduate of The University of Akron, Chrissy holds a Bachelor's Degree in business & organizational communications.
Dave Rich Director of Development Email Dave Rich Dave Rich joined Community Health Center in May of 2015, and serves as the Director of Development. He oversees the development and implementation of fundraisers and community events, and is always looking to forge new partnerships and collaborations with people and organizations within the community. Dave graduated the University of Akron in 2004 with a B.A. in Communications, and again in 2013 with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Prior to joining Community Health Center, he worked for The Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties, The Rape Crisis Center of Medina and Summit Counties, One of a Kind Pet Rescue, and The United Way of Summit County. He is a proud member of the young professional groups Torchbearers and the Downtown Akron Partnership Emerging Leaders Board. The volunteers that make up the Community Health Center Board of Directors are leaders in our community that help guide and ensure our mission is fulfilled.
