FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Founder’s Day Celebration is June 6, 7 and 8, 2008

Founder’s Day celebrates Akron as the Birthplace of Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) This year marks the 73rd Anniversary of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Founders Day events will take place on June 6, 7 and 8, 2008. Founder’s Day commemorates Dr. Bob and Bill, co-founders of A.A. Each year the celebration is scheduled as close as possible to June 10, the day Dr. Bob took his last drink. The activities focus on the legacy of Dr. Bob and Bill and visiting historic sites around Akron. People from all around the world will visit Akron this weekend to see where A.A was born and celebrate recovery.
