Treatment
Services
If there is one term that
can be used to describe the efforts of the Community Health Center in terms
of services to both adult and adolescent clients, it is "Innovative." We recognize
that there is no single treatment mpodality that is appropriate for all clients:
thus, treatment plans are designed to address issues of concern while affirming
the client's stregnths.
Diagnostics
The goal of the Diagnostic
Department is to identify individuals with chemical dependency problems that
may be exhibited through criminal involvement, behavioral maladjustment, family
turmoil, educational dysfunction, vocational or financial instability, or
emotional, mental or physical impairment. This program is typically for outside
referrals. The Diagnostic Department provides comprehensive chemical dependency
assessments through the use of a wide variety of substance abuse screening
inventories and urinalysis for adults and adolescents. This comprehensive
work serves as the basis for the treatment program.
DAY-TOX
Intensiev Outpatient Program
The DAY-TOX Program is an
intensive treatment modality designed to stabilize individuals who are abusing
substances. This program meets 3 days per week, 3 hours per day. Clients who
stabilize are referred to a less intensive treatment program. Clients who
are unable to achieve stability are referred to a more intensive treatment
modality.
Intensive
Crack / Cocaine Outpatient Program
Clients entering this program
will enroll in an intensive treatment regimen during the first several weeks.
Intensive group and individual therapy is followed by a less intensive outpatient
program that continues throughout a six month period. The complete recovery
program includes intensive outpatient treatment, individual counseling, vocational
development and participation in select community support groups.
Adult
/ Adolescent Treatment Options
The Adult and Adolescent units
provide a multitude of therapeutic programs including individual and group
counseling, relapse prevention and primary intervention. These programs are
designed to meet a variety of treatment needs. Supportive services are available
throughout the day and include: case management, community services, support
groups and family counseling.
Women's
Recovery Program
Many women continue to face
traditional barriers to treatment such as a lack of transportation and a need
for childcare. This is one of the reasons why nationally only 3 in 10 women
why are substance abusers receive the treatment they need. The Community Health
Center's Women's Recovery Program eliminates barriers so women can obtain
intervention, prevention, and treatment while providing a lifeline between
women and the many community services available to them. Our outreach services
identify pregnant women and provide necessary links to prenatal care. The
goal of the Women's Outreach is to support and help a woman remain drug free
and deliver a healthy baby.
