Family Intervention Program
The Akron Public Schools, in collaboration with the Community Health Center provides social work case management services to
seven elementary schools.
This program is based on the theory that numerous social and family problems confront youth in today's urban classrooms and these problems affect school achievement and classroom behavior.
The CHC provides case management services
to youth and families identified as at-risk in the hope of removing the barriers to children's educational achievement.
