RAMAR

In 1969, the Community Drug Board began treating chemical dependency and other addictive behaviors under the guidance of Dr. Rocco M. Antenucci. Dr. Antenucci passed away in 1982, but his work lives on at RAMAR. Established in 1983, RAMAR helps those whose lives have been severly affected by chemical dependency. The program is designed in phases to help those dependent on drugs or alcohol to live a more productive and healthy life. Patients are supported through every phase of their stay at RAMAR until they complete the treatment program. They're taught self-management and self-recovery skills as they strive towards freedom from drugs and alcohol.

At our Rocco Antenucci Memorial Residential Center, located at 380 South Portage Path, Patients receive support during every stage of their recovery. They are provided with group and individual counseling and encouraged to develop self-management and recovery skills.

RAMAR provides an environment that is conducive to the recovery process. By creating a "homelike" therapeutic community our patients, we're not only helping them to remain drug free, but we're also helping them develop a day-to-day routine that the can continue after completion.
Situated on beautifully landscaped grounds, our facility provides patients with every amenity that a residental setting could possibly offer.

RAMAR continues to upgrade and enhance our treatment services in order to meet the expanding needs of the community. These services include programming for dually-diagnosed patients, specially designated areas for women with young children and expectant mothers, as well as 24-hour per day medical care. The Community Health Center's Medical Director even makes "house calls" to the facility on a regular basis.
