The Community Health Center is committed to enhancing the lives of our patients and their families by providing comprehensive wrap-around care during recovery. This care does not only include medical and behavioral services. Returning a recovering individual in the same neighborhood, around the same crowd, with all the same temptations will only lend to relapse. It is a proven fact that it can take up to 2 years for neurological function to return to normal after detoxification from a substance.
Recognizing these post recovery needs has led the Community Health Center to develop a comprehensive plan to provide housing, counseling, medical care and psychological support services. Our housing is built for many different populations, including but not limited to; Section 8 Housing residents, the homeless, single parents with children and young adults.
The Community Health Center provides over 80,000 bed/care days to individuals and their families. These people are in or have completed treatment and are prepared to live independently and continue their recovery. This type of healthcare not only touches the lives of the people who call our housing “home”, but helps reintegrate people into society by helping them become functioning members of society.
