FirstMerit fills the bank

This year’s Mile of Quarters fundraiser has been a great success. To date, we have collected nearly $12,000 in our campaign, with FirstMerit Bank raising $3,718.00 of that total. The annual fundraiser, scheduled to run until December, was kicked off by FirstMerit Bank who held the 2004 Piggy Bank Campaign at all branch locations in Summit and Portage Counties during the month of July. Each branch sold the CHC Pink Piggy Bank for a $1 donation and a chance to win a $250 Savings Bond courtesy of FirstMerit Bank.

The branch who sold the most Pink Piggy Banks was the Northfield Branch, selling 486 banks. An Arlington Street Branch Associate, Tareb Saleh, was awarded a $100.00 gift certificate from Chapel Hill Mall for selling 301 Piggy Banks. In a drawing held at the end of the Piggy Bank Campaign, Vivian Alexander was the FirstMerit Customer who won the $250 Savings Bond courtesy of FirstMerit Bank.

All the proceeds raised during the 2004 Mile of Quarters campaign will be used for prevention education programs at the Community Health Center.
