The Community Health Center is a private, not-for-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation. Our purpose is to provide a comprehensive array of treatment, prevention, and housing services for addictive and compulsive behaviors and disorders such as alcoholism and other drug addictions. We have served Summit County since 1968.
We believe that chemical dependency is a progressive, fatal illness that is highly treatable. We encourage early intervention and we are committed to the provision of quality, affordable treatment and prevention services.
We believe that several treatment strategies may be necessary for recovery. So, we offer individual, family, and group counseling, primary health care, medical detoxification, residential treatment, and educational seminars.
We believe that family participation is a necessary part of recover and reintegration into a normal, health life-style. Therefore, we have developed strong family components in our programming.
We believe that residents of Summit County have needs other than those dealing with an addiction. Therefore, we offer programs that address job skills training and vocational assistance, assistance with housing, case management services, and child care.
We believe in total well beling and health, and, therefore provide quality medical treatment and laboratory services and diagnostic assessments which are integrated into our treatment regimes.
We believe that adolescent chemical dependency requires mobilization of a variety with families, school personnel and other providers toward that development of appropriate, accesible services for children.
We believe that active involvement in self-help groups is a necessary adjunct to professional treatment services.
We believe that we have a responsibility in Summit County to provide basic treatment services to all of those in need, regardless of the ability to pay. Therefore, we seek the most cost effective yet cost efficient methods of providing treatment.
